2010 CMN Donation

OKLAHOMA CITY, NOV. 11, 2010 — Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores (Love's), an Oklahoma City-based operator of convenience stores and travel centers, announced today that it raised a record $970,000 during its 12th annual fund-raising campaign benefitting Children's Miracle Network, a non-profit organization dedicated to saving and improving the lives of children by supporting children's hospitals across North America. The campaign total was augmented by a $30,000 donation from the Love family foundation to bring the final donation to $1 million.

To celebrate this accomplishment, Love's brought the top 12 store managers who raised the most money to Oklahoma City for a reward-filled weekend on October 22. The managers, who collectively raised almost $300,000 in 34 days, were recognized for their achievements at a reception with the Love family and other company executives. They were treated to a variety of fun-filled activities the rest of the weekend.

"We are thrilled to be contributing $1 million to Children's Miracle Network this year," said Tom Love, Love's chairman and CEO. "The 12 managers we honored are representative of our 6,000 employees across the country that helped raise funds for this great cause. Their efforts will help provide state-of-the art medical care to seriously ill children across the country. I'm proud of them and appreciate their hard work."

Each September, Love's invites its customers to help raise funds for Children's Miracle Network through in-store purchases of paper heart icons valued at $1, $5, or $25. Since beginning its affiliation with Children's Miracle Network in 1998, Love's and its customers have raised more than $4 million to help sick children in the communities where it operates stores.
