Love's Family of Companies Covid-19 Updates

COVID-19 Updates from Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores

At Love’s, we have always been committed to providing safe, clean and well-maintained stops that help get our drivers back on the road quickly. We’ll continue to make that a priority, along with the health and safety of our team members and you, our customer.

All Love’s locations are fully stocked with diesel availability. We’re continuing to monitor any potential impacts to supply in the coming weeks as a result of the decline in gasoline demand and the associated impact on diesel fuel supplies.

Return to Self-serve Deli/Fountain/Roller Grill

Beginning May 13, as local and state regulations allow and other factors support an easing of restrictions, Love’s will return to customer self-service at its roller grills, fountain drinks and delis, and offer self-serve condiments, sugar and creamer. At select Love’s, customers will also see microwaves back in their original locations.

Our team members will continue to implement heightened cleaning protocols at all Love’s locations and practice social distancing to help maintain a safe experience for our customers.

All other roller grills, fountain drinks and delis will remain full-service, with Love’s team members assisting our customers with their food and beverage needs.

As the country begins to reopen, we will keep you updated about dine-in service at our restaurants. As a professional truck driver, what are some other ways I can practice social distancing at Love’s?

The Love’s Connect app provides multiple contactless features to help limit your exposure to others. Love’s Mobile Pay allows you to answer prompts, arm the pump and receive a contactless, digital receipt using only your mobile phone from your cab. Mobile Shower Check In gives My Love Rewards members the contactless option to check in and pay for a shower with My Love Rewards points and credits and tells you when your shower is ready in store. Lastly, Mobile Receipts provides you access to contactless receipts from all transactions you make where your My Love Rewards card is swiped or scanned. For more information visit

What other products and/or services are being affected?

Love’s is actively working to increase and maintain the distribution of certain high-demand in-store merchandise. Because demand has greatly increased, we will be limiting quantities as inventory is depleted on certain in-store merchandise. Customers can visit the in-store cashier for requested products and quantity allowances per customer.

Are you closing your showers?

Private shower rooms are still available. We know that this is a valuable service to drivers and will maintain our current procedures to keep this available for our customers. We will continue to monitor the situation and make the changes necessary to help keep our customers and employees safe.

What is Love’s doing to take care of its employees during this time?

Our employees have shown true dedication to America’s professional drivers during this crisis. As such, all hourly store employees received a $100 bonus on March 30. Love's is also giving a $2/hour pay increase for all hourly store employees and providing free meals while they work. The pay increases, which also include Speedco and Love's Truck Care hourly employees, will run through June 2.

All salaried managers received their first quarter bonuses regardless of whether their targets were made, and a month earlier than normal. Love's is also offering additional paid sick time in certain situations related to COVID-19. If an employee tests positive for COVID-19 or is ordered quarantined during the crisis by a doctor, they'll be paid for up to 80 hours of missed time.

Finally, the health and wellbeing of our employees is vitally important to us. Love’s developed a task force in response to COVID-19 that is focused on monitoring the situation and providing education, guidance and resources to employees. We are also educating employees on and providing CDC guidance to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.

What’s Love’s doing to support the community during this time?

By serving professional drivers, we're part of getting America's vital goods, including medical and food supplies, delivered throughout the country.

We know that this time is especially trying for youth who depend on school resources daily. The Love’s Family of Companies donated $100,000 to the United Way of Central Oklahoma COVID-19 Response Fund, earmarked for services provided to youth. Read the press release, here. If you want to donate, click here.

We are giving first responders and medical professionals a free drink a day through the month of May. Customers wearing a first responder uniform or medical scrubs or who present their work identification card can get a free medium fountain drink or coffee as a “thank you” for their hard work and dedication during the COVID-19 crisis. You can find more information here.

In addition, Love’s is supporting the backbone of the U.S., professional drivers, with a $100,000 donation to the St. Christopher Truckers Development and Relief Fund. The donation will help professional drivers who can't work due to illness or injury, which could be more prevalent during the COVID-19 pandemic. Learn how this donation will help professional drivers here.

Most recently, we supported an Oklahoma City initiative through OU Medicine called the Million Mask Challenge. Love’s procured 4,500 masks to donate to the healthcare professionals with OU Medicine to support this initiative. We are thankful for the outstanding work healthcare professionals have provided during this taxing time. To contribute to the Million Mask Challenge, click here.

We know this a difficult time for many people across the country, especially those who have lost their job due to closures. Multiple federal agencies, including the U.S. Department of Transportation and the Department of Homeland Security, have recognized truck stops an essential business in the fight against COVID-19 and we’ve put protocols in place to try to maintain regular business at our over 510 locations in 41 states. Love’s continues to hire across the country. If you’d like to be part of our vital team, please take a look at our job openings, here. When you join #TeamLoves, you join a family.

What is Love’s doing to keep locations clean and help protect customers during this time?

We are employing vigorous and frequent cleaning/disinfecting measures in all areas of our stores and encouraging social distancing. Starting Wednesday, May 6, all Love’s and Speedco employees are required to wear face coverings while working. We also have placed additional hand sanitizing stations at our locations. Additionally, Love’s has rolled out plexiglass at all store, restaurant and truck care/Speedco registers. This initiative is to help protect employees, as well as our customers, and abide by social distancing guidelines..

Can I continue to use My Love Rewards drink refill credits at Love’s Travel Stops?

Yes. Our employees are trained to ensure My Love Rewards members can continue to use drink refill credits, but we do ask that you use a new, disposable Love’s cup each time. We are asking you to use a new, disposable Love’s cup for all refills and a new, disposable Love’s cup to pour drinks into your personal mugs/cups. As always, you will still be able to use an available My Love Rewards drink credit or My Love Rewards points for refills.

Are self-serve condiments still available?

For now, we have removed our self-serve condiment stations. Customers can help themselves to our pre-packaged condiments.

Game Rooms

Game rooms in Montana have reopened with limited capacity. To comply with state orders and regulations, all other game rooms located at Love’s locations have been temporarily closed.
