A letter from Jenny Love Meyer on Martin Luther King Jr.
Today, as we observe Martin Luther King Jr. Day, we remember the profound impact his work had on the civil rights movement and racial equality in the United States. He devoted his life to advancing equality and opportunity with nonviolent sit-ins, marches and demonstrations.
We recognize Dr. King’s immense impact at Love's and understand that the work continues today. Love’s is committed to celebrating what makes its employees unique and understanding where everyone comes from. Our inclusion and diversity journey continues to grow and along the way, Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), such as the Black ERG, focus on enhancing professional development, community engagement and culture among those who may have common backgrounds and experiences.
As I reflect on his life and legacy, I can’t help but liken Love’s core values and commitment to community to Dr. King's. Our core values of integrity, work ethic, innovation and perseverance not only focus on customers but also help us strive toward a company culture reflective of everything Dr. King stood for. Join me today in commemorating the life and legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. and taking action to continue supporting equality for all.Jenny Love Meyer
