A fresh approach to food: Love’s way
Oklahoma City, OK – Innovation is at the heart of all Love’s does and Love’s Fresh Kitchen is one of its most exciting ideas yet.
With more than 660 locations nationwide, family-owned and -operated Love’s has stepped up to meet a growing demand for healthy, fresh, convenient food options to go. According to a recent study by Circana, an estimated 64.1% of consumers are looking for snacks that appear as “good for them.”
Enter Love’s Fresh Kitchen, offering a variety of options for consumers on the go. From fresh cut fruit and parfaits to salads, wraps, and tacos, all Love’s Fresh Kitchen items are prepared in-store daily, using regional produce, eliminating the need for long-haul shipping. All products are grab and go, allowing customers to get back on the road quickly.
“From families on road trips to RVers and professional drivers, customers want food that’s fresh and portable,” said Greg Ekman, director of Fresh Kitchen strategy and growth for Love’s. “By preparing Love’s Fresh Kitchen offerings in-store every day, we’re able to deliver on both.”
Those who stop in can also find fresh, hot food offerings at Love’s. This summer, Love’s is catering to tastebuds, whether customers are craving spicy or sweet, with limited time offerings. Chipotle flavored chicken tacos, chicken salad wraps; and cheddar sausage on a bun can satisfy the spicy cravings, while strawberry and pineapple fruit cups and fresh strawberry parfaits can provide a delicious and healthier dessert option.
A 2025 Pew Research Center study found that roughly 70% of Americans say the increased cost of healthy food has made it more difficult to eat healthy. This suggests a strong desire to eat better, especially when affordable, convenient options are available.
In an era where convenience often comes at the cost of nutrition, Love’s is redefining what travelers can expect from travel stop food. Love’s has made it easier than ever to eat well on the road by offering options that cater to a wide range of dietary needs but don’t break the bank.
