Big crash in Lap 90 ends Chris Buescher's night at Daytona

Daytona Loves military themed race car

Daytona always goes big, and on Saturday night, that meant a big, big wreck. Chris Buescher and the #34 Love's Ford Fusion were part of a 22-car pileup on Lap 90 of the Coke Zero 400. He finished 40th for the race.

"It all happened in front of us. I tried to get on the brakes and just slid right in to it. There was nowhere to go. I tried to go up the middle. There seemed to be fewer cars there at the time, but by the time we got there the hole filled up and we ended up in it," Buescher said.

Despite the finish, it was a wonderful day for Buescher and the Front Row Motorsports as they got a chance to celebrate the Special Forces Charitable Trust, a wonderful organization that supports those who have served in the special forces in all seasons of their lives. Buescher's car for the race was specially designed to pay tribute to the SFCT.

"They provide support to the United States Army Special Forces community and their families. Love's is proud to honor the work they do, and we're proud to have them on our No. 34 car this weekend," Buescher said.
