Aviation enthusiasts flock to Florida for Marvel of Flight festival

For aviators and aviation enthusiasts, the Marvel of Flight Fly-In & Expo in DeFuniak Springs, Florida, is an annual pilgrimage.

The 7th annual Marvel of Flight festival happens on March 31 and April 1, and there are lots of events, speakers, displays and happenings to interest aviation enthusiasts of all levels. However, this year's event will be extra special with the announcement of featured guest Patty Wagstaff. She is a three-time National Aerobatic Champion and National Aviation Hall of Fame member.

Wagstaff will be speaking Friday night, March 31, at 6:45 p.m. and then hosting a special seminar Saturday morning with FAA educator Chuck Ebbecke called "Loss of Control." That event will be followed by a flag jump and formation flight demonstrations and then a barbecue lunch.

The event's other special guest is the Tiger Flight Foundation, a demonstration team and youth motivational program.
