Love’s opens new travel stop in San Antonio; company’s first Whataburger

OKLAHOMA CITY, April 16, 2026 – Love’s Travel Stops is expanding its footprint in Texas with the opening of a new travel stop in San Antonio, its second in the city. The newest travel stop serves community members and customers traveling Interstate 410, conveniently located off exit 412 at 9530 Southton Road. The new travel stop has 70 truck parking spaces and provides free parking for professional drivers, helping address the national truck parking shortage. So far in 2026, Love’s has added 534 truck parking spaces across the country.

The new Love’s will also feature the company’s first Whataburger, opening May 4, where guests can enjoy fan-favorite menu items like the Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit for breakfast, the savory Patty Melt, the iconic #1 Whataburger®, and popular shakes—each served up with Whataburger’s iconic bold, made-to-order flavor.

With Love’s Rewards, customers can save on gas, auto diesel, food and more while earning points along the way. As a new Love’s location, the San Antonio travel stop has space allocated for EV chargers, allowing Love’s to quickly partner with local utility companies to install charging stations should customer demand arise.

In honor of the grand opening, Love’s will donate $5,000 to the East Central High School Band and $5,000 to Christus Children’s Hospital. In addition, Love’s district managers work with eligible nonprofits in their area to make donations through community grants on an annual basis.
