Love’s Travel Stops Opens in Belen, New Mexico

OKLAHOMA CITY, May 3, 2018 - Love's Travel Stops (Love's) is now serving Customers in Belen, New Mexico, at its newest travel stop location. The store, located at 1903 Camino Del Llano (Interstate 25, Exit 191) opened this morning and brings 75 new jobs to Valencia County.

"Love's is proud to extend our outstanding Customer service to another area of New Mexico," said Tom Love, founder and executive chairman of Love's. "Belen is situated near two of the state's largest metropolitan areas. Drivers traveling through the area are now able to experience the clean places and friendly faces that Love's is known for."

The 10,000 square foot facility is open 24/7 and features an Arby's restaurant for Customers to enjoy. The store also offers brand-name snacks, gourmet coffee, soft drinks, electronics, fresh-to-go options and more. Professional drivers can take advantage of 62 truck parking spots, five showers, laundry facilities and a Love's Truck Tire Care center. The new store is projected to bring $2.46 million in tax revenue to the area. Belen brings Love's to 9 total stores in the state of New Mexico.

"Belen welcomes Love's and all these new jobs to our vibrant city. This economic boost helps put Belen on the map," said Jerah Cordova, mayor of Belen. "We're the perfect stop along I-25 for professional truck drivers, travelers and commuters."

In honor of the grand opening, Love's will hold a ribbon cutting in conjunction with the Greater Belen Chamber of Commerce. During the ceremony, Love's will present a $2,000 donation to a local organization.
