It's not just your typical internship; it's an internship program. This summer, more than 40 college students interned with the Love's Family of Companies in Oklahoma City and Houston. This summer's class of interns included local and international talent from Kansas all the way to Nepal. They were chosen from a wide pool of applicants for an internship full of learning, community involvement and fun. Some of the internships offered include communications, human resources, accounting and fuel quality.

"We create opportunities for our large network of employees to interact with one another," says Stephanie Easterly, human resources coordinator. "It creates a great opportunity for them to learn and grow with one another, to experience the family-focused culture firsthand and to develop a better understanding of the inner workings of the Love's Family of Companies."

The goal of the program is to give every intern hands-on experience in their chosen fields and introduce them to every part of the Love's Family of Companies. The program is filled with activities for fun and community involvement. Whether it's bowling, Topgolf or volunteering at the Boys & Girls Clubs, there's never a dull moment as an intern at Love's.

"From networking events to town halls with executives, our summer was full of possibilities that will have a positive impact on our future careers," says Kaitlyn Stark, corporate human resources intern. "Having a rotational program helped me gain a better understanding of each area in my department.

The summer program ends with final presentations from the entire class of interns. Fellow team members, supervisors, interns and vice presidents are excited to attend the presentations every year. While the audience may seem daunting, those who observe the presentations are truly there to show support and learn from the interns' insights.

To qualify for the internship program, applicants must be enrolled in a four-year university program pursuing a related field to the internship. For more information on the Love's internship program and how to apply, visit Loves.com.
